John Ulrich
LEAD PASTOR
John is the Lead Pastor of The Church at Perry Creek. He comes to us from Wichita, KS by way of Dallas, TX and Harare, Zimbabwe.
His time in ministry includes everything from teaching 6th grade boys Sunday School to being the Academic Dean of Harare Theological College; youth ministry to the senior pastorate. But perhaps his most interesting job was when he worked at K-Mart, because that’s where he met his wife Kelley. They have been happily married for 32 years.
John has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and professional certifications in counseling and leadership training. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and listening to classic rock. And he is the proud father of three UNC Tar Heels: Elisabeth, Calvin, and Calvin’s wife Devin.
John’s heartbeat is to teach people at all levels how to understand Scripture for themselves, whether they are new believers, committed Christians, or seminary students. His mission is to help people live according to truth and to see people glorify God because they know Him.
Gilbert Imbiri
MINISTER OF WORSHIP
Gilbert Imbiri is the Minister of Worship at Perry Creek. He comes to us from West Papua, Indonesia by way of Kansas City Missouri.
Gilbert is passionate about all things musical. He is curently a student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary working on his Masters of Arts in Worship Ministry.
Gilbert and his wife, Amber, have four children: two daughters, and twin sons. And we are delighted to be able to serve together with their whole family!
